Regeneration site
The project covers the whole estate complex of Villa Salus, located on the eastern suburbs of Bologna, in Malvezza Street.
The whole area, 9060 squares meters of space and a 2.100 square meters tree-lined avenue, consisted of two buildings: an old seven floors building, and the former hyperbaric chamber.
After a series of analysis, the demolition of the main building and the updating of the project was decided, with the construction of two new structures: one will be used as dwellings, whereas the other one will offer places for theatre, catering and laboratories activities. The former hyperbaric chamber, that will be renovated, will offer further spaces for meetings and cultural initiatives.
The works will also include the redevelopment of the existing park and the arrangement of all external areas.
Approximately 4.000.000 of Euros have been allocated for the regeneration site.
The site will boost the local economy and will give back to the city an area which has been in a state of abandonment and decay for many years.
