The new urban regeneration project foresees temporary accommodation facilities for refugees and asylum seekers that will be actively involved in managing the services, together with people and families facing temporary financial difficulties and involved in the transitional housing programs of the Municipality of Bologna.
This is a collaborative housing model, promoting the involvement and collaboration of the residents, through the creation of shared spaces in the building and outdoor common areas.
The main goal is to develop the sense of belonging, to enhance social and interpersonal relationships, to hone one’s skills, to promote a collective decision making process and the management of common spaces and collaborative services.
The designers of the Municipality of Bologna take care of the whole area design, constantly working and interacting with the partnership, through a co-design process.
The total number of guests will 56 persons from families in housing transition, asylum seekers and refugees, students and 20 guests hosted in the B&B and in the guest houses.
